"We Are The World" – Flatpicking Guitar Cover
Welcome back to the channel! Today I’m sharing a flatpicking arrangement of the iconic anthem "We Are the World."

For this performance, I’m playing my #1 main guitar—a 1986 Fender Stratocaster ST72-55R MIJ (Reissue ’72), which I’ve owned since purchasing it in Rome back in 1988. It’s plugged straight into my 2015 Fender Blues Junior III all-tube amplifier to show off the true, organic warmth, touch sensitivity, and harmonic richness that only real vacuum tubes can deliver!

???? The Story & History of "We Are the World"
Released on March 7, 1985, "We Are the World" is one of the most famous and impactful charity singles in music history. Written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie, and produced by the legendary Quincy Jones alongside Michael Omartian, the song was created to raise funds for famine relief in Africa, specifically Ethiopia, under the banner of USA for Africa (United Support of Artists for Africa).
Recorded on the night of January 28, 1985, right after the American Music Awards, over 40 of pop culture’s biggest icons gathered at A&M Recording Studios in Hollywood. A sign famously hung on the studio door reading: "Check your ego at the door."
The song went on to sell over 20 million copies worldwide, won 4 Grammy Awards (including Song of the Year and Record of the Year), and raised tens of millions of dollars for humanitarian aid.
