In April 1998, as Linda McCartney was dying of breast cancer in London, she asked Paul to take her to their Tucson ranch. Paul immediately chartered a plane so she could see her horses, feel the desert sun, and rest in peace. She passed away days later surrounded by family. For 26 years, Paul has kept the ranch untouched, calling it sacred because it was where she chose to spend her final days.
