Even the greatest musicians have heroes.

For Paul McCartney, there was one guitarist who stood above the rest.

Long before becoming a Beatle, Paul listened closely to the player's technique, style, and effortless musicality. Years later, he would admit, "I admired him so much," revealing just how deeply that guitarist influenced his own understanding of music.

It wasn't about flashy solos.

It was about feel.

Taste.

And the ability to make every note count.

That admiration stayed with Paul throughout his career, proving that inspiration never stops—even for one of the world's greatest songwriters.

Behind every legend...

There's another legend who helped shape the journey.

In this short, Rock World Legacy explores the only guitarist Paul McCartney said he was truly in awe of—and the lasting impact that musician had on Beatles history.
