April 1998. Linda McCartney was dying in a London hospital. Breast cancer. She whispered to Paul: “Take me to Arizona. To the ranch.” Paul chartered a plane immediately. Flew Linda to their Tucson ranch. Linda wanted to see the horses one last time. Feel the desert sun. Be somewhere quiet. Days later, Linda died there — Paul holding her hand, their children around her. Paul kept the ranch exactly as Linda left it.
