Paul McCartney later recalled that his family sent Auntie Jin to his London home partly to warn him about smoking pot. During the visit, the warm family atmosphere helped inspire a Beatles song asking young people to give their parents more credit.

The song was also offered for the Beatles’ worldwide Our World broadcast, recorded during Brian Epstein’s final visit to a Beatles session, and transformed into the grand staircase finale of Magical Mystery Tour.

This is the story behind “Your Mother Should Know” by the Beatles.
