“Thank You Girl” sounds like it was written for one devoted girlfriend. John Lennon and Paul McCartney actually wrote it as a personal thank-you to the many female fans sending the Beatles letters.

The song was originally considered for a single, but “From Me to You” took its place. Even stranger, the original British mono release and later stereo version contained different amounts of John Lennon’s harmonica.
