John Lennon and Paul McCartney wrote “One After 909” when they were still teenagers. The Beatles tried to record it in 1963 but abandoned the session, then unexpectedly revived it six years later for their rooftop concert.

One of their earliest songs ended up capturing one of their final performances together.
