A little piece of Tina Turner history from April 17, 2000!

When Oprah Winfrey celebrated the launch of her brand-new publication, O, The Oprah Magazine, at New York City's Metropolitan Pavilion, who better to provide the entertainment than her dear friend Tina Turner?

In this vintage Entertainment Tonight report, we get a rare glimpse of Tina performing at the star-studded private celebration, surrounded by some of the biggest names in American entertainment.

Unfortunately, as is so often the case with these old television reports, we're only treated to a few tantalizing snippets of the performance rather than the whole thing. Still, it's wonderful to see Tina in action at such an intimate event, especially during her spectacular Twenty Four Seven touring era.

A lovely reminder of the friendship between Tina and Oprah, and another little treasure from the television archives!
